Generals Gold Blend is an episodic series that I will be doing once every two or three weeks. It is a blend of C&C Generals and C&C95. It uses the stock Generals units and follows the '95 story line as close as possible considering that Tiberium doesn't exist in Generals. I didn't intend for this to be a mod, just a cute and clever way to use the old story line and game assets in conjunction with the new game and assets it brings.

This is a singleplayer mission designed after the original C&C95 seies. The map was duplicated from the third TD mission and the scripting is similiar.

The original VQA files were converted and modified into bik files. The scaling was correct when the level was first designed on the designer version of C&C Generals. However the retail version varies just a bit. I didn't have the ambition to redo them so consequently they are a bit 'stretched", sorry I'll do better on the fourth episode.

Your first objective in this third mission of the series is to establish your base and eliminate all Nod Stinger sites inorder to recieve an A10-Thunderbolt Strike. The second objective is your basic "Search and Destroy" type mission. Find and eliminate all Nod forces and structures.

To play the mission you need to extract the files and place them in the proper folders.

Place the custom big file (expandGGB03.big) into your generals directory. Normally this is C:\program files\EA games\Generals.

Place the map folder (GGB03.map) into the C:\My Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Data\Maps folder
DO NOT remove any of the files from the folder.

Place the 3 bik files (movie files) into the C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals\Data\Movies folder.

The custom big file contains a video ini that will ADD TO but NOT OVERWRITE your baseline files, it also contains some w3d files used in the mission . The movies are called up by scripting and they too will not overwrite any original movies.

The scenario starts of with the original C&C95 video and then goes into the "Generals " style cutscene. When the mission is completed there is a short "Victory" or "Failure" movie, depending on whether or not you get whacked.
